Traction Battery

A massive size upgrade in order to accommodate high-power requirements, the traction battery is the mainstay choice for numerous electric forklift and warehouse trucks. We offer numerous brands from leading manufacturers including 3K, Ceil, GS-Yuasa, and TAB.

Each traction cell provides 2-volt with varying amperage. Therefore, the battery is available in numerous voltage choices (from 12V to 80V), capacities (from 100Ah to over 1,000Ah), and infinitely customizable box dimensions.

Traction battery still requires periodical maintenance and water top-up, similar to starter and deep-cycle batteries. Water top-up can be semi-automated using the automatic filling system.

Note that traction battery charging cycle is primitive compared to batteries used in consumer electronics. The battery will need to be fully charged prior to use, and will need to be discharged to around 20% of its capacity prior to recharge.

Opportunity charging (plugging in to charge, then unplug to use while battery is not yet full) is strongly discouraged as this will shorten the lifespan of the battery.

If the truck is required to be used for high-demand workload or multiple shifts, additional spare batteries are required.
